Name:
Christopher "Kit" Caswell
Age:
24
Physical Appearance:
Kit is only 5'7 which makes him a little bit on the short side but not much below the average height. He certainly wishes that he was much taller. He thinks himself far handsomer than he actually is. His brown hair is cut a little bit shorter than is fashionable as he finds it easier to manage. He is bright blue eyes.
Strengths:
Self-assured, Straightforward, Optimistic
Weaknesses:
Stand-offish, blunt, unfriendly
Background: Kit's father was killed during the French and Indian War. His mother remarried. His new step-father was a man a great deal older than his mother bringing with him his own children from his first wife. Kit never got along with his step-father. It was simply a case of two very large personalities and clashing egos. Arguments were a daily thing in that family and on more than one occasion they grew violent. Overall it was not a happy childhood but it certainly gave him a thick skin and a spirit of almost reckless determination.
When he turned eighteen, Kit left home without a single look back. All his life he had read about self-made men and was determined to make something of himself. He believed that he could get by and be successful without his step-father's help. He wished to prove himself to everyone he knew. His step-father was certain that he would come crawling back within a week. He quickly found himself mistaken as the years went by.
At first Joseph made his start in life by gambling. He found that it was a skill (or simply an abundance of good fortune) that came naturally. As he began to amass a small amount of money, he began to look for a real career. But before he could make up his mind, the world turned upside down.
As soon as the war broke out, he enlisted without a moment's hesitation. Here was his chance for glory. He was going to become the great hero of the American Revolution or die trying.
