Elizabeth had just arrived two weeks ago, and just in time for her little nephew to be born. Her time in London was well spent, and she glad to see family, but she was relieved to be home, and seeing the newest member of her family. Little Nathanial William had arrived just in time for her arrival, and Elizabeth was so glad to have made it in time and hold him. After leaving the dining parlor having eaten breakfast, she made her way to the gathering room to find her brother in his favorite reading chair, and her sister in law with the newborn in her arms. " Morning," she said delighted and smiled and kissed Charles on the cheek and walked over to the couch and smiled at the sight of Georgianna holding her young son. She reached her arms forward and picked up the infant, who felt almost weightless in her arms, but she dared not to drop this precious creature. She held the baby a few inches from her to look at his face as she walked the room, and over on the couch Georgianna fretted, " Don't drop him Elizabeth, he's quite small." Her brother patted his wife's shoulder and told her not to worry. " He looks fetching in her arms. She's a natural," he said softly and smiled. Elizabeth smiled at the baby and walked around. Georgianna's expression went from furrowed eyebrows, to a little more relaxed tone as she watched Elizabeth, and took a deep breath.

Jack was lucky to be back in port, in New York at the same time as Elizabeth. He knew that the sea could be a cruel mistress, and keep people from their appointments for weeks some times. He had the sea and the wind with him, though. He wasn't called 'Lucky Jack' for nothing. In her latest letter, Elizabeth had given him directions to her brother's house, and after some time he finally found it. While he could have gone by coach, he preferred to walk. Dressed in the uniform of a junior Post-Captain of the Royal Navy, with a single gold epaulette pinned to his shoulder, he knocked on the door of the lawyer.
A man that introduced himself as the butler opened the door, and left Jack standing at the door. He turned around to look at the civillian harbour. He could imagine why one would want to live here, even if the merchantmen were in the way of the view. 't was a shame that the Intrepid was not visible from here though. That would have been the most magnificent view. She would be the largest ship lying there, and would make the others look like more barges.
