[Insert snazzy post template here later] Okay so Hotah:tahatan I've got quite an intriciate plot idea, that's based off history and I'd love George Washington 's input on this. As I have an idea of of some key points and that I'd love to do. So first of all this is what I want George Washingtons input on. As what I'd love to happen is it having been Washington who torched his village, in case they assisted the enemy. This is preferably unbeknown to Hotah:tahatan. Other then that I'd love for Hotah:tahatan to learn better English, maybe even assisting Washington at some point, not realising about who truly ordered the destruction of his village. But other then that Hotah:tahatan is a dreamer, he's not a realist. He dreams about liberty, he doesn't count people as slaves (He doesn't really understand that concept), and he's also fiercely passionate about his beliefs, and what he thinks is right. He's very vengeful right now, and this can make him easily manipulated into making some bad choices - on top of this he's naieve about the world outside of his village tribe.

Alright, so even though both sides wanted the Iroquois to be neutral, they do end up siding with the English. Also, the Iroquois nation fought alongside the British during the French and Indian War. Howe has no hard feelings towards Hotah:tahatan or his people. I think Howe would understand Hotah:tahatan's beliefs and ideals, but at the same time, see him as naive for still believing that. Mind, Howe has spent several years arguing for peaceful negotiations with the colonists and then Lexington and Concord and Bunker Hill happened shattering his faith that diplomacy would still be the trump card. Perhaps they might not get to be friends and Howe really does have better things to do than teach English, but what contact they do have could be interesting character development. And really, nothing says 'neutral' better than having tea or coffee with both leading generals.

Just wondering as to which tribe among the Iroquois does Hotah belong to? Later on in the war, the two tribes that sided with Washington were the Onieda and the Tuscarora, while the Mohawk, Cayuga, Seneca, and Onondaga stuck with the British. Also if you're interested, Tey was forced to attend an English school as a younger man, and so speaks it fairly well, if Hotah would like to learn from someone of his own kind!
